Daylight savings begins on Sunday March 8, it is highly recommending that home & cottage owners change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. In order for smoke or CO alarms to work efficiently, they must have working batteries. At least once a year, replace old batteries with new batteries. Even hardwired alarms with battery back-up must have their batteries replaced.
It is now the law to have working smoke and CO alarms. Tampering with or removing batteries from smoke or carbon monoxide alarms is against the law and could result in a fine.
Do your part to keep you and your home or cottage safe!
