The market is significantly tilted toward sellers having the advantage with a 84% listed – sold ratio in Muskoka waterfront Year ending Dec. 31st 2020. The market is in need of new listings to satisfy the demand in the area. It will be interesting to see how the market balances the supply and demand as we move to conclude Q1 and enter into the spring time where more listings usually begin to appear on the market.

A steep upward trend is expected during a market such as this. As listings become more scarce and demand remains at an all time high, average sale price will continue to rise as it becomes common for Muskoka waterfront listings to sell between from 5% – 20% over the going ask price. As the spring approaches quickly, as does the beautiful weather Muskoka is known for in the summertime. The spring rush to acquire a desirable piece of Muskoka waterfront looms in the near future. Time will tell if the market can supply enough properties to meet demand.
